If ever there was a great metaphor for Social Media this must be it: we each contribute something to a seemingly random structure of words, thoughts, code, images and before you know it we’ve created something from nothing: solid ground to stand on and in our case do actual business on.
The point of Social Media then is not to wait for someone to take the lead and take you somewhere but to each take the initiative and act in ways which will ultimately contribute.
