Skype When Your PC Is Turned Off

Skype is a convenient service to chat and call with friends and business relations over the web but when we turn of our PC’s we also turn off access to all those people, business contacts and potentially important conversations. This is why this post offers you a number of options to prevent that from happening: never miss a call again!
Skype Settings
Skype offers a number of settings you can alter in order to ensure you are reacheable even when your PC is turned off.
- You can turn on Skype voicemail (at a cost)
- You can forward calls to your phone (at a cost)
To do this: open your Skype and select “tools” from the top menu then select “options” and change your settings for voicemail or forwarding in the menus you see above.
Skype On Your Desktop Phone
There is a limited number of phones available that combine a normal telephone line with a configuration specifically designed for use with Skype. Other VoiP phones and even PBX’s can be configured for this but the phones I want to discuss here come preconfigured with Skype.

Skype On Your Mobile
Apart from the possibility of having calls transfered to your mobile phone by Skype, you can also activate a Skype client on your (smart)phone. For example:
